TeamCast Vyper Supports Standard BISS-CA

FRA: ENENSYS Technologies, leading provider of media delivery solutions, has announced a firmware upgrade for its well-known and recognized satellite modulator TeamCast Vyper that introduces the Conditional Access mode of the BISS2 protocol Mode CA (commonly named BISS-CA).

BISS-CA, much more robust than BISS1 protocol against hacking including a dynamic key system coded on 128 bits, is also, as an open standardized protocol, fully interoperable with any receivers/decoders which embed this conditional access.

Invented and normalized by UER innovation team in 2018, BISS-CA has been adopted by Eurovision services for its high-value event since fall 2020 in a first step and will likely become mandatory for any premium events sooner or later.

“The BISS-CA implementation within TeamCast Vyper matches with satellite DSNG contribution application demands for providing robust and standard protection solution for live events” said Christophe Trolet, Satellite and Terrestrial Modem Manager. “Our TeamCast Vyper satellite modulator offers a cost-effective solution that combines advanced satellite modulation with DVB-S2/S2X with efficient content protection with BISS-CA”.
