UK: PAG, the UK-based manufacturer of innovative, high-end, camera power solutions, will use BSC Expo 2023 at Battersea Evolution, London, 24-25 February, to show its new USB-C Adaptor for Mini PAGlink batteries; the first time it has been shown at a UK event. USB-C technology is now increasingly important for users of portable power products. PAG’s adaptor is designed for powering essential production kit, such as laptops and phones, using its latest Mini PAGlink camera batteries (available in 99Wh & 50Wh capacities, as well as V-Mount and Gold Mount formats). The adaptor extends the capabilities of MPL batteries by providing two USB-C outputs and a USB-A. MPL batteries already possess built-in D-Taps and a USB-A module (5V 2A) that can be swapped for Hirose, Lemo or D-Tap modules.

The MPL USB-C Adaptor (Model PAG-6001) plugs into the D-Tap output situated on-top of any MPL battery and enables a total of 95W to be drawn. It features a USB-C PD type output that provides up to 65W, for powering 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V or 20V devices, including a MacBook Pro. In addition, the adaptor features 'Quick-Charge’ USB-C and USB-A outputs that provide up to 30W in total for powering 5V, 9V and 12V devices. In each case the voltage is determined by the device connected.

PAG will also make available for preview, for the first time at BSC Expo, its new MPL150V battery: a 14.8V, 150Wh, V-Mount, Li-Ion, Intelligent Linking Battery, that is extremely versatile when it comes to powering your production kit. No other battery boasts as many output and input options. It has a USB-C output for 5V, 9V and 12V accessories. There is also a built-in USB-A output (5V 2.4A). These are in addition to a 12V D-Tap (unregulated), and PAG’s unique, swappable USB-A (5V 2A) output module. Other new features include 2 charging inputs: a USB-C which enables you to charge the battery using a PD charger; and a 2.1-2.5mm DC input. These features are ideal when you don't want to travel with large, 2 or 4 position chargers. PAG's unique battery linking technology allows 99Wh and 50Wh MPLV batteries, that don't include USB-C, to be charged via the MPL150V input, when linked.

PAG will be joined at the show by its European distributor Aspectra, who will be demonstrating examples of CamGear fluid heads and tripod systems, and TV Logic monitors.
