Object Matrix Demos Integrated Workflows

12/04/2018

USA: At NAB, Object Matrix demonstrated global content creation and collaboration workflows with its digital content governance solution, MatrixStore, and a range of Adobe Creative Cloud video applications.

Video content can be ingested into MatrixStore, where it can be browsed directly using Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Videos can be easily transferred to production storage for editing. Projects being worked and collaborated on in Adobe Creative Cloud applications are backed up using MatrixStore in near-line workflows. Finished content is automatically moved to an archive fault, but remains searchable.

Integration with Adobe Media Encoder CC means that users can preserve original raw files on MatrixStore and simply set Adobe Media Encoder to watch the vault, transcode assets, and put the results into another vault.

Nick Pearce-Tomenius, Sales and Marketing Director and Co-founder, Object Matrix, commented: "Media companies are faced with growing libraries of content and ever-increasing pressure to monetise that content. They are looking for ways to make operational efficiencies by making workflows between archive and editing simpler, efficient, and where feasible, automated. Providing access to the entire archive inevitably creates financial benefits also."

Sue Skidmore, Partner Relations for Professional Video at Adobe, said: "Our customers are looking for tools to make their lives easier and workflows more efficient. Being able to integrate with an object storage solution that can automate many of those workflows whilst keeping content protected yet searchable will be a key factor for many Adobe customers."

MatrixStore can be deployed as a private and cloud platform that protects data and metadata, both on-premises and off-site, whilst automatically applying policies and workflows.

MatrixStore and the integration with Adobe video apps will be demonstrated on the Object Matrix booth at NAB.

Adobe will showcase powerful new updates to Adobe Creative Cloud, giving video pros the world's best tools for video editing and motion graphics.

The latest release brings new features and faster workflows for colour, graphics, audio, animation, collaboration and VR. Highlights include: shot comparison, automatic colour matching, and intelligent audio and easy rotate view controls for VR content in Adobe Premiere Pro CC; streamlined graphics workflows with master properties to rapidly edit layer properties across compositions in After Effects CC; added efficiency in Audition CC; integration with Adobe Stock for sourcing video footage and Motion Graphics templates; trigger improvements in Adobe Character Animator CC; and easily invite anyone with refined collaboration workflows in Team Projects.
